Meet Bethany

My name is Bethany and I’m so honored to have the opportunity to be on the Laced With Grace team.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I love the Lord and am so thankful to be His. He has always been faithful. I’m blessed beyond what words can say, and sometimes it seems my heart will burst with the thankfulness I feel for the blessings He’s given. I praise Him for my life, my family, and my guarantee for eternity.

I’ve been married 8 years to my absolute best friend who was my college sweetheart. I am reminded over and over how God knew exactly what He was doing when He brought us together at ACU (Abilene Christian University). We have a son, Caleb, who brings us such joy. He is such a blessing with his caring nature and loving ways. Before Caleb was born we had a miscarriage. God taught us so much through that experience, and even now we know He had a reason for that loss. I remember the pain and desire to continue to encourage others who are facing their own loss.

After graduating from college, I taught elementary school for three years and have been a stay at home Mom since Caleb was born. It was always a dream of mine to be able to be at home, and I’m thankful for this huge blessing from God and the support of my husband. Now that Caleb is in school I keep busy with a variety of activities including volunteering, reading and doing book reviews, and sending cheer mail to seniors and brain tumor patients.

I have been blogging for a little over two years now and value the support and encouragement I have found in the friendships online. My mission in blogging is to encourage others and glorify God.

Here are a few other random things about me: My favorite color is purple. I collect Precious Moments figurines. I love finding new note cards, tablets, and colorful pens that write well! I enjoy music and some of my favorites are Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, and Matt Redman. I like to look through cookbooks. . It is very enjoyable to me to hang clothes out on the line to dry. I love writing. I have a sweet tooth. I am an only child.
