Meet Dana
I married my best friend five months after I graduated from a small college not far from my home. I was a psychology major and he was employee at the school when we met. We dated a year and had a ten month engagement. God was awesome in the way He worked out the timing as we had a fall wedding and enjoyed the Smoky Mountains for our honeymoon. Other than serving as a lay counselor for a short time, I have never used my Psychology degree professionally.
Our family lives in a Tampa suburb. We have three beautiful children; 2 girls and a boy. We are blessed to live about one hour from Walt Disney World, so we go there often. We also love going to church, the beach, swimming in the pool and Star Wars.
I work from home for a small real estate company keeping track of the accounting and book keeping. God has called us to be a home schooling family. This fall will be the start of our third year home schooling. I also just began to serve as the editor and publisher of our home school group’s newsletter. This should be an exciting venture.
When I am not working or having fun with my children, I enjoy Bible Study, scrap booking and writing. I rediscovered a love for writing during the Blue Print for Life study that a small group I was a part of participated in. I love to serve in women’s ministry and have a passion for God and serving Him in any capacity He wants.
“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.” Isaiah 43:10
