Meet Heather

Hi! I’m Heather Cox and I’m excited to join the Laced with Grace team of godly women writers. I was blessed to grow up in a godly Christian home, knowing that not only my parents but also my grandparents prayed over me from my youth. I’ve known and followed Jesus since before I can remember. He’s always been the love of my life.

I am a teacher at heart and have been blessed to teach High school and middle school math for seven years. In 1994, I followed God’s calling to Ukraine as a missionary for two years. I have always had a heart for ministry and this confirmed my calling to teach the Word of God. When I returned to the states, I went to Moody Graduate School to get my masters in Biblical studies. Those two years were a spiritual oasis that I will always treasure. While in Chicago, I met a wonderful man whom I now call my lifetime lover. He is a marriage and family counselor and a great husband and dad!

We have three terrific kids ages 7, 5 and 3. We now live in the middle of farm country and are surrounded by lakes and woods which we eagerly explore. I’m primarily busy with my ministry as a wife and mother for right now, but I am also following God’s leading in other ministries. I am speaking and writing about God’s gracious gifts as He provides opportunities.

My hope is always that I may be completely devoted to Christ.

“What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.” ~ Philippians 3:8-10
