Meet Kathy
You could call me a “confused southerner.” Although born and raised in Louisiana, I left there in 1988 to follow my engineer husband around the U.S. and Canada. I say “pop” instead of “Coke” and “you guys” as often as “ya’ll.” But those things are just superficial – I am still a southern girl at heart!
My husband and I have been married for almost three decades. Over those years God has moved us from south Louisiana to Wyoming to west Texas to Calgary to Houston and now back to west Texas. We have three children and one son-in-law and when the whole family gets together four dogs join the mix!
I’ve been teaching the Bible to small groups for over twenty years. But ten years ago God called me to seminary to better equip myself. I graduated from the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in 2004 with a Masters in Christian Education. Currently I serve on a church staff in Midland, Texas where I am responsible for all the adult discipleship and the women’s ministry.
I also love to encourage women in discipleship and spiritual growth through speaking and writing. My third Bible study will be released early in 2011 by New Hope Publishers.
