How Big is Your God?

29 Mar

Frustration. Irritation. Inability. Negativity. Impossibility.

Satan attacks again.

God has given me something big to do and I can’t imagine how I could do it.

Satan attacks, telling me all the reasons that I can’t do it.

Amidst the battle I remember the Truth: My God is bigger than he that is in the world.

I can’t do it alone, but if God has called me then He will help me and if He will help me then it is not only possible but it will be done and be bigger and better than anything I could have imagined on my own.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Lord, You are bigger than anything hat Satan can throw at me, You are able to do all that You have said You would do. Lord, help me trust You and stand in this battle, knowing that You speak the truth.  Lord, help me to see what You are doing, to forget my own limitations, and to trust in You.  Lord, I know that Your plans are bigger than anything my puny imagination can dream up.  Help me to keep my eyes on You and do the next thing.

Amen, greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. May you be greatly blessed.

Amen! Wonderfully written. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I surely need a lot of it lately.

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

    If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.

    (Ps 138,1-10)

Wow. This looks a lot like the post on my blog today! Praise God that we belong to an undefeatable God, who is strong enough to protect us from the enemy!

Yes, our Lord is bigger and has already defeated Satan…Remember that you can do all things through Christ who will give you His strength…
