What is it?

When my children were just toddlers, I just loved it when they would draw me a picture. Many times it was difficult to make out what the different lines were suppose to form. They would so proudly present their masterpiece to me, and I would have to ask…”What is it?”

“Silly Mommy…it’s a pink elephant hanging in a tree of course!”

Well, of course it is! Even though I could not see exactly how my child saw it, I still thought it was beautiful. I could see  right thru the scribbling to see the beauty of the masterpiece that my child just created.

Sometimes God is working on a piece of art within us.

He is molding, carving, creating and beautifying us. Sometimes it is with the hard knocks of life that this beautiful transformation comes, but even when we don’t see what He sees, we can count on everything to turn out beautiful just like a masterpiece.

Sometimes when I look at the masterpiece in me, all I see is uneven strokes that look like an oncoming train wreck, but just like a mommy sees the beauty in a child’s scribbling, God sees the beauty in His children…long before they see it!

PSALM 139:14 ““I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

God knows exactly how each stroke of His Hand is going to lead into a marvelous piece of art. So just remember, when things seem to be all scribbled up in your life, God already sees what we can’t see…

A MASTERPIECE!
