Hello? Hello? Hello???
Don’t you love those cell phone commercials that show different scenarios of “dropped calls?” The person talking on one end continues a conversation, but there isn’t anyone else on the other end listening.
Do you ever feel like no one is listening to you? Your husband, your kids, family members, coworkers….? Are you ever frustrated about feeling “unheard?”
Did you know that God says to come and talk to Him and He will LISTEN to you? Jeremiah 29:12 says, “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.”
God says that when you are looking for Him, you will find Him. He is right there waiting for you, longing to listen to you. He wants you to pour out your heart to Him. He doesn’t mind if you raise your voice. He isn’t offended when you are brutally honest. He isn’t surprised by what you are saying if what you are saying isn’t “pretty.”
He isn’t distracted. He isn’t too busy. He doesn’t interrupt. And, He never drops your call.
Father, thank You for always being here when I need You. Thank You that You are always listening to me. Thank You that You are never too busy. Lord, help me to be completely honest with You. Not because You don’t KNOW what is on my heart, but because when I open up and give it to You, You can start “dealing” with it, healing me. Search me, O God. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

This is a most excellent post! I love it that God is always there to listen, no matter what I want to talk about. And, the great thing is, that after talking to Him you feel so much better and that is not always the case when talking to other people. 🙂

Isn’t it wonderful that we can all speak from the same passage and totally have different applications? His word is indeed alive. And I am so glad He listens to us. What would we do if He doesn’t?
I enjoyed your post. It is great to know that we can always rely on God to answer our calls and not worry about them being dropped, hung up or screened. He is always there to listen, comfort, encourage, and love us.
