NO INSTRUCTIONS NECESSARY

Pray fervently———But God Does Not Need a “To-Do” List

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much: James 5:16b KJV

I was praying for a specific need in my early morning devotions, and trying to cover every aspect of it.

I felt a gently urging of the Holy Spirit, “I do not need a “to-do” list.  I desire for you to pray effectively and fervently and with faith for this need, but let ME work out the details.”

By nature, I am a list maker, while covering every portion of a project to  be done and check off each finished item on the list as completed.

Sometimes in my spiritual walk and growth IN God, I seem to forget that He always knows the need before I do.

He always has a plan for me (Jeremiah 29:11).  All He desires for me to do is to pray for His Guidance to bring my need to His accomplished end.

Sometimes, or I should say “most of the time”, the hardest part of my prayer is to say, “Lord here is my need, I put my complete faith in you and in your never ending Grace for me. I trust You with my need, and THY WILL BE DONE in my life.
