A Song for Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving! Although we have ample reason to thank God every day of the year, today is a time to focus on God’s many blessings to us His people. In honor of our God who is worthy of our overflowing gratitude, I offer this “Psalm of Thanksgiving.”
1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.Psalm 100
This Psalm is a clarion call to thanksgiving. Read it as a prayer today. Share it with your family around the table. Offer it to God as a sacrifice of praise. Use it as a catalyst for a day of thanksgiving!
