Easter – He is Risen!

Easter Sunday“But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.

The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, ‘Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.'” ~ Luke 24:1-7 (NLT ~ emphasis mine)

Oh, what a glorious message the women heard the first Easter. I love hearing and reading the Good News; I can’t get enough of it and often times it boggles my mind why Jesus did what He did. I can only attribute this to His incredible love for us!

Because my redeemer lives, I can face tomorrow. I can take my weariness to Him and He gives me comfort.

Are you weary? Are looking for someone to understand your hurts? HeĀ  died and rose also for you, my dear friend.

Lord of Heaven and Earth. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for taking my sin upon You. May I never forget the price You paid for my ransom. Lord, help me to share the message of redemption with all who are weary and need rest.

He is Risen! Easter Blessings to you and yours –

Iris

PS: If you would like to know more about Jesus or you know of someone who is searching for answers, please let me know in the comment section; I would love to send you a booklet called “The Gospel of John” (New Living Translation).

I love saying “He is risen” as the very first thing every Easter Sunday morning. Our pastor greets us that way and we respond “He is risen indeed”. Love it!

Happy Resurrection Day to you Iris.

Thank you for your friendship which means so much to me.

    Love you,
    Debbie
