Saying Goodbye

“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7 (NLT)

It is bittersweet that this will be the last post on Laced with Grace. I have been blessed to work alongside so many amazing women for the past 13 years.

We hope that God has used our writings to encourage you in your walk with Him. We pray that His Word washed over you with mercy and grace as we have shared our personal lives with you.

My dear friends, please remember to stay rooted in His Word, so that no one can lead you astray.

“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” Colossians 2:8-10 (NLT)

If you would like to stay in contact with some of our authors, I have compiled a list for you where you can read their writings:

Laurie Adams: Women Taking a Stand
Marsha Haywood: Marsha’s Musings (FB) & Marsha’s Musing (Blog)
Susan Panzica: Eternity Cafe Blog
Linda Chontos: Linda Chontos
Bernadine Zimmerman: Quietly Becoming
Carol Graves: Fully in Focus
Ann Van Hine: Miss Ann Says

As for me, I will be focusing on restarting my photography business. If you are interested in following my photography journey, you can find me at Iris Nelson Photography.

Until our Lord returns or will take us home, live loved and with gratitude. At times life is hard, however the Lord will give us the strength we need to see us through.

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

I couldn’t help but shed a tear. Thank you, Iris, for living loved and grateful; for living a life of obedience; for giving some of us an opportunity to write and others to read and find comfort and encouragement. God bless you as you seek Him in your journey. Love you, my friend.

Thank you so very for your service, Katie. Yes, closing down is bittersweet. I do love this tight knit community. But I know what we will stay in contact through other means.

From The Practice of the Presence of God: “God regards not the greatness of the work, but the love which prompts it. “ Thank you Iris for giving all who have written and all who have read our writings the opportunity to experience moments to love God more.

Iris, I’m honored to have been a part of this team for many years. Saying goodbye to this ministry and to you my friend feels strange but since we are connected at the heart as spiritual sisters, it’s not good bye but see you later. Thank you for seeing something in me over 11 years ago and giving me a platform to grow as a writer. Love you dearly and I hope to stay in touch. May God bless you, your husband, your photography and all that you do for the Kingdom! See you later!

Laurie, thank you so, so much for partnering with me keeping the site going for so many years. I know I couldn’t have done it without you. You are right – see you later is much better, than goodbye. Much love to you and your family.

Thank you Iris for allowing me to be one of your contributors. May the Lord continue to water and grow the seeds you gave us an opportunity to sprinkle along the way. Blessings on you and my fellow contributors. Again, thank you for the opportunity.
Take care. Be well. Serve Him. Hugs, Ann
