The Absolutes of God

If we would make of list of all the things we are absolutely certain about, positively positive about, no room for doubt kind of things, and put it in a place of easy access to us, then everytime we are faced with a trouble, trial, or tribulation, pull it out and see if the trying situation changes any of the “positive absolutes” of our lives and the power of God.
I read something similar to this months ago in a book by Max Lucado (sorry, I cannot remember which one).
The Hebrew names of God are the absolutes of His Sovereignty.    Remember them and CLAIM them when YOU need reminding of His absolute power!
Adonai-Jehovah ~ the Lord our Sovereign
El-Elyon ~ the Lord Most High
El-Olam ~ the Everlasting God
El-Shaddai ~ the God Who is sufficient for the needs of His people
Jehovah-Elohim ~ the Eternal Creator
Jehovah-Jireh ~ the Lord our Provider
Jehovah-Nissi ~ the Lord our Banner
Jehovah-Rapha ~ the Lord our Healer
Jehovah-Shalom ~ the Lord our Peace
Jehovah – Tsidkenu ~ the Lord our Righteousness
Jehovah-Mekaddishkem ~ the Lord our Sanctifier
Jehovah-Sabaoth ~ the Lord of Hosts
Jehovah-Shammath ~ the Lord is Present
Jehovah-Rohi ~ the Lord our Shepherd
Jehovah-Hoseenu ~ the Lord our Maker
Jehovah-Eloheenu ~ the Lord our God
A few of my “absolutes” are the following:
  • God loves me. So much so that He sent His only Son, Jesus to give His life for my sins;
  • God’s love is from everlasting to everlasting;
  • He is right beside me, even now;
  • There are no surprises with God;
  • He’s got my back;
  • He daily loads me with benefits;
  • His Word is true;
  • God never wastes suffering;
  • God is who He says He is-He can do what He says He can do-God’s Word is ALIVE in me! (Beth Moore);
  • He loved me at my most unloveable;
  • In Him, there is nothing too hard;
  • He is the giver of my peace;
  • I have found Him completely faithful.  All the time;
  • He is trustworthy;
  • If I face a trial tomorrow, He is there, ready to help me, all I have to do is call on Him.

What are your absolutes?  List them out, remind yourself of His powerful love for you!

Trusting Him,

Angie

    AMEN!!! Angie. I was just reciting the “Beth Moore” quote on Sunday (one of the most eye-opening studies I’ve ever done, btw).

    I have to be mindful to remember ALL of the benefits that God is/has. I find myself limiting God sometimes and in turn don’t allow Him to work in my life to His full capacity and capability.

    Oh Angie,

    *He will never leave me nor forsake me.

    * He is my ROCK.

    *I have nothing to fear.

    *He is trustworthy and true.

    *He breathed and the stars were born.

    Awesome. I could go on all day. Awesome Post. Hugs.

    I love these absolutes. No matter what we FEEL emotionally these things are true. And I believe them on faith. Thank you for this Angie.
