Laugh

“Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him–his name is the LORD. “Psalm 68:4
Did you know that “rejoice” occurs at least 131 times in the Bible? With the snow finally melting away (our last snow storm was 6 days ago), the grass greening up, and buds beginning to appear. It feels like spring and the warmth of the sun on our faces brings joy. Spring is a physical reminder of God’s work in our often dull-seeming lives. We move from day to day, under the blanket of snow, unaware that God is at work even when we can’t see it. Now, the growth is becoming apparent. God’s changing lives and bringing revival where it is desperately needed.

So often as Christians, we walk around with somber faces because the world saddens us. We see what doesn’t agree with God’s Word and how far our world has fallen from God’s precepts; we see broken people and pain and suffering. Life can beat us down, but God is telling us to rejoice!

Rejoice because He’s making all things new. He’s healing the broken and He’s working a plan for change in our lives.

So, if you haven’t laughed lately, laugh with God today. Laugh because His grace is amazing and His vision for this world is unbelievable. Laugh because His plans for us are GREAT!

Amen to that Heather; laughter makes things better. I do see a lot of people frown every day. In most cases I just smile at them.
