GUARD YOUR HEART

“BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU THINK, BECAUSE YOUR THOUGHTS RUN YOUR LIFE” Romans 4:23 (NCV)

Have you ever just been going along, maybe driving, or sweeping the kitchen, or anything that finds you alone, and ALL OF A SUDDEN, you realize I have just spent the last ten minutes thinking like the devil runs my brain and not the Holy Spirit. Man what am I thinking!!

Well for one thing we are not thinking on Jesus Christ and His mission for us, to pray and intercede for our family, friends, or anyone that the Holy Spirit puts on our hearts to pray for. 

Many times I have had the strong urge to pray for someone or something, The Holy Spirit did not give me a clue who they were or what was the problem.  My job was not to know the who or what, my only job was to have my mind in tune to The Holy Spirit, so that when He speaks to me, He does not have to wait for me to get my mind out of the gutter, and get prayed up, then and only then my mind and my heart will be in tune with the Spirit of God; so I can be of use to the Kingdom of God.

Jesus guarded His heart and if it was necessary for Him, how much, more important for us to guard our hearts.  People say, “Well Jesus was God, so why would He have to guard His heart.

 Before Jesus Christ was born to a virgin named Mary, He was God the Word.  He knew before the beginning of time that in God’s own timing he would leave all the splendor of Heaven, come to this earth as a new born baby mothered by Mary a virgin girl. When He was born He was named Jesus, (Emanuel, God with us.)  Yes Jesus was still God, but He was a man on this earth.  So He had earthly thoughts, and He had to guard His heart to keep it pure so he could grow up and begin His ministry and He also knew that He would die the most horrible death anyone has ever suffered.

Dear Friends Jesus did this for me and for you.  He took every horrible, evil thought, every evil sin on His precious sinless body as He hung on the cross of Calvary. He shed every drop of His blood for you and for me and for anyone that wants to be forgiven of every sin.   He died for us, but PRAISE GOD IN THREE DAYS HE AROSE AND NOW LIVES AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD THE FATHER!!!

 He is coming back soon and very soon for those that have made preparation to see him again, and to live with Him forever.  Please make preparation to meet Him when He calls His people home.    Blessings Gloria
