All Things Work Together for Good
Are you going through a difficult time? Stressed out? Not sure what tomorrow holds? I have great news for you…EVERYTHING is going to be all right!
I can say that with great assurance because it is a promise from God…
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
I do not say this candidly or without understanding, because I do know personally what it is like to suffer. I know what is like to stand over the grave of a loved one, I know what it is like to worry about a child who is sick, I know what it is like to lose a job and wonder where the next meal will come from. I know because I have been there. And I know everything is going to be all right because no dilemma has come my way that God has not gotten me through!
God is the Master of the wind, He orchestrates the entire universe and He will set all of the wrong in this world right and He will set right what is wrong in our lives too. It is difficult for man’s eye to see anything good when all we see is bad. I’m not suggesting that EVERYTHING in life is good, but I am reminding you today that while bad things have happened to you, God is still good!
I am reminded of the story of Job in the Bible.
Here is a man who lived a righteous life, he loved God and hated evil but yet bad things happened to him. His barns were destroyed, his cattle stolen, his children were killed and his wife lost so much faith in him she told him to curse God and die. How could the faith of Job still be intact?
While such indepth suffering made no sense to those watching, it made perfect sense to God. It was during this intense fire that God refined Job. Yes, the events were bad, still, God brought Job up out of his flames and brought something good from it.
Like Job, you may be feeling the heat of your own fire. Read the above passage in Romans 8:28 and put the emphasis on the word “purpose” and not on “good”. Trust God that He has a purpose; when you can’t see the WHAT, you can always trust the WHO!
BLESSINGS. Laurie

Thank you for sharing this today, Laurie; I needed to read that. Yes, I can trust the WHO, it is just hard some days.
Amen. Amen. I’m working on being “called according to HIS purpose”more than my own. Job came through! We can!
