Come to Me
We all need rest. God ordained it so He can restore the exhausted body, soul and spirit.
Come. Sit. Be still and know that He is God. Sit by the quiet waters of truth and grace, and reflect on Who He is and what He has done on your behalf.
Allow Him to lead you to that still, quiet place within your soul. He will calm the stirrings of troubled waters and bring restoration and refreshment.
So why do I delay in accepting His invitation to come? He wants me to sit at His feet and listen to His Words of love. He desires to pick me up, and place me on His lap and hold me close so I can listen to His heartbeat out His love song to me.
Listen to His heartbeat of love. (Paraphrased from John 6:35; John 5:24; Matthew 11:28; Psalm 46:10; Isaiah 55:1; Revelation 21:6; Matthew 11:29-30)
Come to Me
is my heart’s call
to the whole world.
Whoever comes to Me
will never be
hungry or thirsty.
Hear Me calling?
Come to Me
and receive life eternal.
My Son has set you free.
Come to Me my Child,
and I will give you rest.
I want to carry the burdens that
weigh so heavily on your shoulders.
I want you to
Be still and know that I am God.
Cease from your striving
within and without,
and I will give you rest.
Come to Me, my Love,
and thirst no more.
I give to you from the spring
of the water of life without cost.
Leap into my lovingkindness
and be refreshed,
like plunging into cold waters
on a hot day.
Come to Me, exhausted one,
give your burdens and cares to Me.
Nothing can separate you
from My Love.
Even in the midst of trials,
I am with you.
Come…Give Me your weariness.
Come…Give Me your sins.
Come…Give Me your labors.
Come, My Child,
be refreshed.
I will renew your spirit.
Now come to Me,
even if the path
is dark and riddled with potholes,
I’m drawing you.
Trust Me,
this is My path,
I’m drawing you to My heart.
Come to Me,
and I will give you rest.
I love you.

wow, I really needed this, thanks dear friend. I love you.
This is something I’m learning to do… Resting. Not only physically but spiritually. Love the Word today!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem with us, Marsha. It is good to know that I can come to Him when my heart is heavy.
