I Knew I Loved You
I’ve always been a happily ever after, forever and always, true love is for real sort of girl. I love a good love story or love song that illustrates my belief. So, as a young adult especially, I’d often read books or listen to songs that spoke to the romantic in me. One of the songs I loved from the first time I heard it many years ago is, I Knew I love You by Savage Garden. This song was one of my favorites as a young woman dreaming of a true love of my own. The chorus was my favorite part.

The lyrics of the song just seemed like a beautiful love story. Who wouldn’t feel special at the thought that someone would feel so deeply about them. However as I listen to the song this Valentine it also reminds me of God’s love for us. God knew each of us before the foundation of the earth. According to Psalm 139:16 He recorded every day of our life in His book before our life even started. Before He formed us in the womb He had a future planned for us and an unwavering love for us.

On this Valentine’s day, I’m grateful for the love that I have in my life. However, I am even more so grateful for God’s love. His love surpasses any love song I’ve ever listened to or love story I’ve ever read. He truly loves us with an everlasting, forever kind of love.
