Is Spring Here?
I saw a sign in front of a church the other day: “Spring is coming…God has promised!”
“As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.” (Gen. 8:22 ESV)
I remember the lesson (as winter seems to drag on and on and on…).
It is God that has ordained this order of seasons and God is faithful to His promises. That is the lesson I am reminded of. Spring has come around every year of my life (and long before that) and spring will come around again this year also.
God is faithful to His promises…not because we are good; God is faithful to His promises because HE is so good.
“For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Matt 5:45 ESV)
God has promised that the cycle of life will continue as long as the earth endures! As we look at the drab brown left behind the melted snow (for those of us in the frozen north), we are reminded to look forward to the spring blossoms.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted…(Ecc. 3:1-2)
God has promised
Spring is my favorite time of year. Here in my part of the South it hardly ever snows; it just stays drab during the winter. It makes me appreciate the springtime even more!

spring is a short season in my area, but there’s just something about the quick burst of color in our usually brown town that makes us all a little more chipper as we wonder at the mightiness of our God’s craftsmanship!

Hallelujah! Spring is on the way. Even if they did forcast snow for today. 🙂 I’m still a believer – God’s promises never change!

The changing of the seasons is always a delight to me. I think the Lord is awesome in his creation and the way life ebbs and flows.

And with the promise of Spring comes the promise of new life.
We’ve experienced new life in our house in a fresh way his Spring. Two weeks ago, on Good Friday, my young daughter asked Christ to come and live in her heart.
I put pen to my thoughts this morning and wrote about it (in part) on my blog. I invite you all over for a fresh look at Spring and just what God intends for our promised walk of surrender.

Yes, God does promise Spring. But if it doesn’t come soon enough for us, we can always travel to find it! 🙂 That’s what we did this week!
Yes – He is faithful and He keeps His promises.
God has promised! I will cling to those three words as I wait for Spring in some areas of my life.
And with the changing seasons…brings new life! I need the new life-growth in my heart/mind continually! This was such an encouragement! God is faithful to keep His promises!
