Not Everything is Good, but God is Good
In just a few days we will hinge between the old and the new. Two years will collide; 2017 will come to an end and a new year will begin. I can’t help wonder what mark, what significance these two years will leave behind.
When I look behind, I can clearly see some pretty significant highs and lows. Not every thing about 2017 was a plus for me but despite that, I can say that everything was a blessing. I am thankful for the good and the bad that has happened in my life, for it all works for His good.
Perhaps you have had a rough year, I want to encourage you to focus on the good that God is working in you. Not everything that happens to us is good, but because of God’s grace and love He will bring something good out of it…
(Philippians 1:6) ” being confident of this, that He Who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
As 2017 quickly comes to an end, I am choosing to give God praise and to look forward for what is yet to come. Often times it is difficult to see how or why things work the way they do but in the end we can trust God’s Hand and His mercy because He is faithful and just. And He will complete ALL that that He has started, not just in the year past but in the year to come.
