Not Today!!!
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
This year my word has been “fiercehearted”, and honestly it has been the most powerful word for a year. I have stepped away from fear, claiming my dreams. I know that I cannot please everyone in my life, and that is totally okay.
The last 2 weeks I have been waking up with the song “Not Today”, in my head. 9 times out of 10, the song played on the radio as soon I started going to work (I will share it at the end).
In the song this one line keeps repeating in my head:
“Your Love Stood Down Death – Crushed the Devil’s Head – Fear is Just a Liar – Running Out of Breath” – Hillsong United (Not Today)
Fear can be debilitating, right? So what do we do? We step away from our dreams, because we are afraid to fail. Let me tell you: don’t! You have someone Mighty cheering you on. You trust Him with your salvation, and you can trust Him with your dreams; no matter how big or small.
Paul reminds us in Romans 8:
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” Romans 8:38 (emphasis mine)

They have left fear behind and trusted God to give their dreams wings…Bernadine published a Bible study close to her heart: “Becoming His Dream Girl” – Linda wrote a beautiful murder mystery: “Chronicles of Miller’s Crossing: Sleeping Dogs” – Laurie contributed an article to the latest Chicken Soup for the Soul “The Wonder of Christmas” – Susan wrote the most beautiful Christmas story: “Mary Had A Little Lamb” – Yours truly finally achieved to be added to a wonderful women photography network as a Pro Photographer.
My sweet friend; step out in faith and leave fear in the dust. Let the devil know, not today!!!!
Lord of Heaven and Earth. Help us to step out in faith, and let the devil know, not today. Trouble will scare us no more. We are standing on the the Rock that gives us the strength to stand firm!!! We are trusting in Your mercy. In the precious name of Jesus – Amen.
