Now Let Us Praise!
Praise Him! Even if I don’t get what I want. Even if my family and my friends have great needs. Praise him. Even if I’m sick. I. Will. Praise. Him! I will myself to give thanks for the comfort and privilege of my home, my clothes, my modern conveniences, the country where I live, the vast network of fellow Christians in this world and especially my Savior.
Today I choose to take charge over negative thoughts and replace them with honor for my Jesus.
Today I choose to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
Today I choose to look at the beauty of the season I’m living in, not wish for a different one.
Today I choose joy over the ashes of the past; I choose love over resentment.
I choose to obey the command to worship the Lord.
Today I will give God praise.
I will acknowledge He knows the best plan for me.
I will myself to listen for Him in the still small voice.
I will myself to keep listening even in the long silences.
And I will choose to give Him glory.
He is worthy of my adoration.
He is sovereign.
He made the universe.
I am a part of His big plan.
Today I will give Him worship!
“I will praise the Lord who counsels me, even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices; my body will also rest secure because you have not abandoned me to the grave nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life. You will fill me with joy in your presence with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Psalm 16:7-11 NIV).
- Walk in the Light
- Cast Your Cares
Yes, I will praise Him with you. You are right; we ought to praise Him in good and bad times.
Every day we are given a choice. We determine what we will do with it, Either grumble or give praise. For me and my house, we choose to praise the Lord. Good post.
