PSALM 91
PSALM 91
For the past 10 days I have been dealing with an injury to my right shoulder, and God has been so faithful to me by always being there for me and whispering to me, “JUST TRUST ME.”
Psalm 91 is such a comfort to me and especially if you are having some bad days lately, just read this Psalm and let the soothing Voice of the Holy Spirit give you strength.
You who sit in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow. Say this: “God you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!”That’s right – He rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you – under them you’re perfectly safe; His arms fend off all harm. Fear nothing, not wild wolves in the night, Not flying arrows in the day. Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon. Even though others succumb all around, drop like flies right and left, no harm will even graze you. You will stand untouched, watch it all from a distance, watch the wicked turn into corpses. Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God you very own home, Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path. “If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God. “I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best of care if you’ll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times; I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party. I’ll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!” (Psalm 91 The Message)
Dear readers I hope this Psalm has blessed you as much as it does me, it is one of my favorites.
Remember, I do not know the definite day Jesus is coming back for us; but I do know that He is definitely coming back for us.
Blessings Gloria

This Psalm has been a comfort to me over the years; love it! Thank you for posting and reminding me Gloria. I am with you on this: I don’t know what day He is coming but He is definitely coming back and …I’m ready.
I love how you describe yourself as a cyber-space missionary through blogging. I guess I am one too.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
Gloria, I also have an injury to my right shoulder – it’s pretty painful, right?
As I was leaving physical therapy yesterday, I was exiting the lobby and noticed that someone placed a beautiful Guardian Angel prayer card on the window ledge. It seemed odd and out of place, but very comforting. I enjoyed your post about Psalm 91 and was particularly struck by:
“He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. ”
I hope your injury heals in good time – let’s both remember to trust God!
Sorry to hear of your injury. This Psalm is comforting. Thank you for sharing it.
