REJOICE IN EACH NEW DAY
“This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 ESV
As I am growing older and my children are all grown and out of the house, I have more time to just get aside with the LORD and to pray; but mostly to listen to Him speak to me.
Every morning when I go into my kitchen I look out of the window and I always think of this verse Psalm 118:24.
It always comes to my mind that this may be the day the trump will sound and the LORD will meet His children in the clouds to ever be with Jesus Christ, God Almighty and the Holy Ghost.
No one is promised tomorrow, and I have been so prompted by the Holy Spirit to spend each day as if it were my last day.
No one knows what day or hour the LORD will call His children home or what day he may just call me or you home.
I love to get in my favorite spot and just praise Him silently and to be quiet and let Him speak so lovingly to my spirit. I cannot describe the thrill and feeling to know that Jesus Christ, my Savior and LORD would take the time to speak personally to me, to comfort, to soothe, to just hold me in His Arms and tell me how much He loves me.
Sometimes the road that Jesus picks out for us to walk is not as smooth as other roads have been; but the same Jesus that led us through the smooth road will lead us step by step through the rough road.
All we have to do is just to TRUST HIM and BELIEVE that HE MAKES NO MISTAKES when planning our lives. Just trust Him and know that satan cannot hurt us because everything is in Gods’ hands always and forever.
