WAITING ON GOD

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 KJV

When we hear from God about something that He wants us to do, the first thing we usually do is mount our spiritual horse and get ready to ride.  We want constant motion, constant to and fro, here and there always on the move to get the challenge from God solved and done, so we can cross it off the list and move quickly to the next challenge.

God in His Word tells us to wait patiently on the Holy Spirit for instruction.

To pray to know His perfect will.

Waiting brings us to our knees in prayer; oh, how God loves to visit with us in prayer.

Waiting brings patience.  God delights in a patient disciple that will be willing to wait for His answer and direction.

Waiting brings faith, “Okay Father, I am willing to wait, please let my faith grow in my waiting on you.”

Ultimately waiting brings peace; Peace of heart and mind that in the waiting God is working out another miracle for our good and His Glory.

Waiting leads us to remember miracles we have not thought about in ages.  We are blessed in remembering the abundant things God has already done for us.

Remembering brings praise and worship to Him that always holds us in the palm of His Hand.

When I look back, I can always see that in my time of waiting, I spent a lot more time reading Gods’ word.  A lot more time in talking to God, and praising and worshiping Him for of all He has done for me.

In these earthly bodies, waiting is always hard; but when we see Him, face to face there will be no time of waiting, only eternal glory with Him.

Blessings dear Readers, Gloria

This waiting on God has been one of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn. I am naturally a leader and get-it-done type person. Some/most might even call me controlling. In fact, this is exactly what God showed me regarding my relationship with my daughter a couple years back. I’m still in a state of waiting but He is bringing healing and many needed lessons in this period. Thank you for reminding us that waiting is indeed a God ordained time in our lives and we must be open to what He desires to teach us.
