What’s Your Vision?

When we are born again we all have visions, if we are spiritual at all, of what Jesus wants us to be, and the great thing is to learn not to be disobedient to the vision, not to say that it cannot be attained.~ Oswald Chambers

Moses had a vision of saving His people.

Joshua had a vision of a land for His people.

Samuel had a vision of providing for His people.

David had a vision of protecting His people.

Peter had a vision of leading His people.

Paul had a vision of teaching His people.

Jesus had a vision of loving His people.

What’s your vision?

15″Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’

” ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. 16’Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. 17I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them 18to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

19″So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. ~Paul to King Agrippa, Acts 26:15-19

What is it that the Lord has laid on your heart above anything else? What is the calling that waits deep in your heart, that which the Lord placed in you that you may fulfill it in Him? He may not have appeared to you in a physical vision as He did to Paul but He has given you a calling, deep in your heart, something that can only be fulfilled by all the changes He has and will wrought in you.

Lord, I pray that You would change me to suit the vision you have for me. I pray that I would become what You created me to be. Lord, I pray that each of these women would be pliable, willing to grow into what place You have for them to fill. Lod, show each of us Your vision for us and then show us what You would have us do that we may become that vision. In Jesus’ Precious Name, Amen.

I have been called to apply to seminary and follow the path that God is planning for me. Amazing how He works.

I believe my calling is to write. To write what? I’m not sure. Novels? Devotionals? God knows Meanwhile, I learn all I can and wait to see where He’s leading me. I have no doubt that He has put this longing to write and this love for words in my heart. Thanks for the encouragement.

I feel like I need to write. What, I don’t know. I’ve started with a few blogs, but the words don’t always come. But I’m going to keep trying. Someday I will know for sure…

Oh Heather, This is lovely. We do need a vision. I believe God places a calling upon our lives to fulfill a vision. I want to serve others who are hurting, who are lost, who are in pain and need a friend. I pray I will be all of these to someone when they are in need. I am compelled.

    Lovely, 🙂

Oh yes – I do have a vision, but I am not sure if He will be blessings it here on earth – I might have to wait until I get to heaven for that one. I envision that all Christians stand united again the enemy…

Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Heather 🙂
