With difficulty, lies opportunity

Albert Einstein once said: “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” I believe that quote is the story of my life summed up. Some difficulties I brought on myself, some I just dug myself into, and some were just out of my control. In each pit I dug myself into God some how found me and brought me back up. When I thought I could not go on, and could not stand the pressures of life. God poured his love on me. When I sinned, God poured his forgiveness on me. And when things were out of my control but were causing great pain, the Lord provided peace in the midst of it all.

Acts 4:20 became my verse “For we cannot help speaking about what we have see and heard”.

I can not help but share with others that God loves you no matter where you are, no matter what you have done, no matter what you have to bring to the table. He loves you period. He just wants you to accept that love. And I found that, and because the truth has set me free I will share that with anyone willing to listen!

God has delivered me. God has forgiven me, and continues to do so daily. God uses me despite my weakness; in fact he says “though your weakness you will be made strong”. And since I have received forgiveness and restoration, I have been given the opportunity to share my testimony with other people, publicly and one on one. He does not care where you have been; instead he is more concerned about where you are going. And I always pray that through the difficulties that I may face the Lord will use that as an opportunity for me to show Christ’s love, grace, and mercy he has for anyone willing to accept it.

What about you, have you accepted it?

If you want to experience that same forgiveness and strength, and make a change in your life for the year 2008 then with your heart say this prayer.

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

If you said this prayer, and your heart was open to receive, then you have received the best gift that I have to offer you this Christmas Season.

Merry Christmas!

In Him I live and move and have my being…… I lived many years outside Jesus Christ….. it was not until September 10, 1977 that I was placed in Him……. the difficulities did not cease, but there was a shelter that I could run to…………My pastor once said of me…. Denise you are not educated by the world standard but you have L.I.F.E. behind your name……. and life has taught me well.

Thanks for the post…… we always need to be reminded that our strength lies in Him……
