Words of Encouragement
“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” ~ Philippians 3:20-21 (NLT)
When we see the news (or even the news feed on social media), we see a lot of hate and hurt. I am wondering if this has anything to do with that not many are fearing God. I mean a healthy fear: living by His Word.
Although I love God’s entire Word, my favorite book of the Bible has always been and continues to be, the book of Philippians. Even though this book has only 4 chapters, it is packed full of encouragement. I probably have read this book 50 times, but every time I do, I see a new nugget that tugs my heart. As you may be able to see in the picture above, Philippians 3:20ff is highlighted and underlined. I guess I was trying to encourage myself that, one day, everything will be under His control.
But how do we live until His marvelous return? We, as His followers and believers of His Word need to set an example. Let no hateful language pass our lips. Don’t get involved in heated discussions on social media. Share His Word and His Truth in love. We cannot follow the crowd! We need to follow the One Who has set us free.
“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” ~ Matthew 8:31-33 (NLT)
Lord of mercy and grace. We are asking for Your peace and strength in this world. Help us to share Your love with love. Lord, we are not of this world, but in the world. Help us to show that You are the One Who can set anyone free. We are trusting in Your mercy. In the precious name of Jesus – Amen.

- For Such a Time as This
Yes! These days we live in it is evident that people have turned from God. May we turn back to the One that our nation was founded on. In GOD we trust! ??
