You Are Stronger Than You Think
“Blessed be the Lord!
For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts, and I am helped;
my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him.”
~ Psalm 28:6-7 (ESV)
2017 did not start out the way we had hoped. Actually it was one of the worst starts of a new year. As some of you may know, my husband is currently in the hospital.
During his Christmas break, he had hoped to relax and recharge for the new year. In a way he did. However, after returning to work for a few days, he quickly felt exhausted and tired again. This past weekend, he became seriously ill. On early Sunday morning, I had to throw cloths on him and myself to take him to the ER.
To be honest, I had no idea how strong I was until I needed to get my beloved to the car to drive him. I guess, we are stronger than we think.
Two things have kept me sane over the past week:
1. My faith
2. The prayers of family and friends
As the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 28, the Lord is my strength. And I can attest to that.
Today, I am thankful for the strength the Lord has given me, not only this past week, but for my entire life. Truly, I don’t know where I would be today without the faith I have.
“Lord of mercy and grace. Thank You for giving me strength for every day, this side of heaven. Often times we don’t know how strong we are without life’s trials. However, we are not strong without You. I am trusting in Your mercy. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.”

Iris, you are continually in my prayers but I’m rejoicing that even in this time of struggle that God is sustaining you. ((Hugs))
Keeping you in my prayers. So happy your husband is feeling better.
