I’ve been thinking about Valentine’s Day and how it’s all about red roses, candy hearts, chocolate goodies, heartfelt cards, and celebrating your love with that special someone.  The whole day is painted in RED and all about LOVE!!  On that day you give your all, your very best of expressing your love to that special someone in your life.  You present them with the best gift to show your love, the sweetest card that brings a tear to their eyes, and you shower them with lots of chocolate goodies and lots of LOVE all day long!!  That special one day a year celebration is the one day that the love of your life will show you the most love all year long.

I’m really looking forward to my first Valentines with my husband Jordan.  We will be celebrating our first Valentines together as a married couple!!  🙂

I started thinking that being Christ-like is being LOVE not just on Valentine’s Day, but every day.  It’s being love towards everyone every day.  If you are living your life following Christ, the more you get to know Him, the closer you become, you will take on His characteristics.  You have love overflowing in your heart. 

1 John 4:7-8 “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

LOVE is the center core of all His characteristics.  He loves WITHOUT wanting anything in return.  He loves BEFORE we ask for forgiveness and turn from our sinful ways.  He loves knowing that we DON’T have anything to offer Him.  He loves INSPITE of our sinful nature.  He loves us for us unconditionally.  He loves all of us, everyday.

Everyday should be a Valentine’s Day, giving your very best to love others!!
