A NEW DAY DAWNING
It is 3:00 am, I love to get up early, that is my best time to study God’s Word and pray. The first thing I do each morning is look out my front door at the new day.
To me the day is like a piece of blank paper just waiting for life to happen. I pray that at the end of this day my paper will be filled with glorious life in God.
I hope the paper is not full of erasure’s and wadded up so bad where I had to stop and start over because I let the evil one crowd Jesus from my mind, but that I will abide all day in the love and presence of Him that loves me and gave His life for me.
Jesus, my prayer is that I will be so in tuned to the Holy Spirit today, that when the evil one comes sneaking around trying to whisper discontent into my ear, that I will instantly realize where the thought comes from. We must always remember that thoughts of complaining and anything that does not praise and glorify God is NOT from the Holy Spirit, but from “ole slew foot” himself. (this name for satan goes way back to my growing up years. In is heard a lot in the South).
Help me to remember that by the power given to me and to every believer in Jesus Christ, that when satan does try to destroy our peaceful, Holy Spirit filled day that Jesus has already given us the answer for him.
