Are we there yet?

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3

The road of life is hard to travel alone…We get tired, discouraged, want to give up…

When I was a little girl, my parents always went on vacation with us. My sister and I were very impatient little girls. One year in particular, our parents had a hard time keeping us quiet in back seat. We went from Northern Germany to the Austrian Alps; with an overnight stop in Bavaria.

Three quarters of the way to Bavaria, my sister and I got in a little ‘pinching’ fight. We were tired, hungry and really didn’t want to sit next to each other any longer…so we fought (I know, I know…not a nice thing to do). Every five minutes we would ask “are we there yet?”…

Have you heard yourself asking God: “Am I there Yet?” or “Is my room ready for me?”…Well, I have. Some days are just so tiring. I am worn out (okay the heat doesn’t help 😆 ). Have you noticed lately how people are on the edge; flat out rude? Even if you are trying to be nice, you get lashed back at? Well, maybe it is just the case in Arizona.

I know that some weeks are really long (or at least feels like it). You run out of steam by Wednesday — and Saturday/Sunday is so far away to get rejuvenated – get encouraged by His community of believers.

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” ~ Philippians 2:1-3

Sweet sisters…Although we are not here to take the place of your local Christian community, we would like to offer you an additional place where you can get encouraged through other like-minded women. Our sweet sister in Christ, Lori, has taken some time to set up our very own BlogFrog community. A place for the weary soul…We offer prayer, encouragement from other Christian women from around the world; or just connect with each other. We would love for you to be part of this brand new community.

You are wondering how you can be part of it? Very simple. See the BlogFrog widget in the sidebar? On the bottom you can join in. We hope to see you there. Let us travel the hard road of life together…

Thank you for stopping by today…Be blessed today and always…

So many times I have asked “Are we there yet?” But God gently reminds me the blessings often are in the journey not the destination. Even though Heaven is sure a great destination!!

Iris … we just came on a 14 hour drive to Orlando and so could relate to the “are we there yet”!! I am like you though in this journey of life, sometimes I tire out and relish the idea of spending eternity in my heavenly hotel. May we all be ready to check in at our due time. -love ya, Laurie

Iris, I often get weary along the journey. I’m so thankful for the bloggy world and my good friends who encourage me. I love to encourage others too.

I will definitely sign up on the BlogFrog. Lori always seems to be one step ahead on this bloggy learning curve. I’m so glad I’m her friend too. 🙂
