Give Him All Your Cares
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
Cares come in all sizes. The big ones are sometimes easier to lay down than the small ones. It’s the small ones that like to hide in the cracks and crevices of a life, trying to get by unnoticed. It seems more respectable to hand the big ones over to God, they seem more “God size,” yet, those little ones are the very things that become wedges between our faith and trust in Him.
He wants them all, every last one. Why? Because He cares for us and He knows they will only cause us anxiety and worry, which steal away our peace.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
