I am a Daughter of the King

Yesterday, while on Facebook, I was informed that it was National Daughter’s Day! I did not know that there was one day in the year set aside to honor our daughters. To be honest, I do not need a special day marked on my calendar to remind me to love and appreciate my daughter, I do that 365 days a year on my own.

Even so, it was nice to see so many family and friends give recognition to their beautiful daughters. One particular post that I saw was a woman posting pictures of her nieces because she did not have daughters, but, she stated that she loved them like they were her own. This reminded me of all of the women who want children but do not have them for some reason and it also reminded me of all of the daughters who no longer have a parent to call upon.

I like what John says in 1 John…

See what great love the Father hast lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” (1 John 3:1)

I love that! No matter what my family dynamics may look like, I am His daughter! I am a child of the King, therefore, I can walk through this world clothed in beauty and grace because of how much my Heavenly Father loves me.

My Father lavishes His love on me, not only on National Daughter’s day, but He lavishes His love on me every single day. He loves you like this also, because you and I are sisters, and God in heaven is our Daddy. So, let’s polish our crowns and remember that we are royalty, heirs to The Throne, children of The King!

BLESSINGS. Laurie

He took a child, had him stand among them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever welcomes one little child such as this in my name welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but him who sent me.”
    Mark 9:37 CSB
Mark, the gospel.writer of Christ’s actions, notes Jesus taking a child into His arms. Every daughter needs to feel His arms.

Yes Luwana! In the absence of my own earthly father this is exactly what my Heavenly Father did for me!
