The Story of Tiny Seed

Do you find yourself yearning for something new to burst forth in your life? You’re not alone. We were all created with a yearning deep within to fulfill a purpose, a tiny seed that God planted with our DNA just waiting to sprout new life and be transformed.

But first we must be broken.

Ouch, God! That hurts! I don’t want to be broken. You spoke the world into existence, can’t you just speak me into transformation so I can fulfill your purpose for my life?

Our salvation was secured through brokenness. Jesus’ body was broken for us. He was crucified. He died and was buried. He laid there dead, lifeless, bruised, broken, crushed for our iniquities. Then on the third day, that glorious third day, He arose from the dead, setting the captives free and giving us victory over sin and death.

God’s salvation plan involved His Son being broken on our behalf. His transformation plan for us is no different. Sometimes we must go through dormant seasons, then a time of brokenness to strengthen the tiny seed planted within us before it can sprout new life.

Consider the Story of Tiny Seed

The Story of Tiny SeedDormant, unnoticed, buried under rotting leaves, dead branches, and the cold, rocky soil, Tiny Seed is trampled under foot along the path. During this seemingly dark, lifeless season, God warms the earth through Light rays streaming through tree branches laid bare by Autumn’s frost.

Winter drops temperatures, snow and ice, bringing down more rubble. But Light continues to stream through.

Buried beneath the soil and rubble, Tiny Seed is awakened by the nurturing warmth of Hope brought by Light. For months Tiny Seed laid lifeless. Now it’s hard shell is aroused by the whispers of Hope that Light delivers. Broken, Tiny Seed knows it wants out of it’s dark place. It’s time. Light beckons and Tiny Seed sprouts a stem through it’s broken shell, pushing its way upward through the soil of adversity.

One final push and Tiny Seed finds its way out of the place of darkness. With bruised stem bouncing in the wind, Tiny Seed not only feels the Hope of Light in the darkness, but now sees Light face to face.

Tiny Seed bursts open its petals in praise and declares, “LOOK WHAT GOD HAS DONE! I’M FREE! I’M FREE!”

“If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36

What a powerful analogy, Marsha. Yes, sometimes it really, really hurts to get transformed. Put praise be to God that is with us all the way, encouraging us through His Light and hope.

Thank you, Sherri. It just seems we’re all perennials. We have our seasons of break throughs and growth, and then the season wanes and he deals with us in the dark recesses of our hearts, only to be called forth to praise Him yet again. Blessings, my sweet friend.
