Washed Away

Sometimes we can get so focused on all the wrong we have done and so wrapped up in who we have been or how we don’t deserve such a loving God.  We can get to the point where it’s what we dwell on constantly.  We can think that were not worth His love and struggle with forgiving ourselves.   It’s kind of like we build river dams cutting off what God has given us.

Yes we are all sinners and have fallen short, but we are also saved through Christ Jesus.

He took our place and died on the cross and took the punishment that we deserved.  Our filthiness has been covered in his precious blood.

He paid the price!  He took our place!  He died so we didn’t have to!

Because of our sinful nature, we belonged to Satan…but God was willing to pay a price for us!  Not just any price…but top dollar!  He was gave His only son in exchange for all of us to be spared from Satan’s grip and to have eternal life with Him.

Romans 5:8 “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” NLT

If you are seem to be focusing on how you don’t deserve God’s love and mercy more than focusing on what amazing love He demonstrated that day at on the cross…stop building a dam and let the water (His blood) come in and wash over you!

If you let His blood cover you, it all will be washed away!

It’s even about us…it’s all about Him!

It’s not about what we have done wrong and how unworthy we are; it’s about what He did for all of us!

Blessings,

Krista

You are so right Krista but so many times it is difficult to really fully grasp that kind of real, deep love that Jesus has for us. I can’t think of too many people who would die for me. But so glad that He did! Love you!

It is good to know that He took the sin upon Himself so that we can be washed clean in the sight of God.
