Working it Out for My Good

“I can’t believe I made such a silly mistake! This means I have to pay to do the same thing again and I really don’t have the money.”

It was for several minutes that I really let myself have it as I looked down at the hundreds of copies that I would now have to discard. I usually have the inside pages of my teen girl magazine copied at a copy center and then I print the outside cover from my computer. I was just about to start printing when I looked down and realized that I had given the young lady I interviewed a completely new name. There was nothing I could do to correct it at this point. Thankfully it was only one page since I had to have it copied again.

I was completely stressed out thinking about it. However, as I started to drive to the copy center I put it in God’s hand realizing that if I had not caught the mistake before I started printing the front cover it would have been even more costly. When I told the lady what had happened and that I needed to have the copies redone she was so sympathetic that she gave me a discount and I didn’t lose nearly as much money as I thought I would.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

I left the copy center with my copies and a very thankful heart. Thankful that God had allowed me to catch the mistake before it cause me major embarrassment and thankful that he had touched the heart of the lady to give me a discount. Although I couldn’t see it at first he was working it out for my good.

God bless,

Bernadine
