Yielding To His Plan

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

I Corinthians 3:18

Don’t you love unruly hair? Yeah, me neither. But we all have some from time to time or daily. My new hair cut requires actually fixing and it likes to do it’s own thing. The other day while trying to fix it, I thought why not just work with it, instead of trying to train it how I desired. Wonder how that worked out? Not so good really.

Then, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said this is just what I do with God. We are born with an innate sin nature. We have desires and wants of our own from early as a year old. God has different desires for us and wants us to yield to Him. Instead most of the time, we just go with how we feel or what we desire. We don’t yield to God and let Him train us.

Sweet friend, God has so many good things in store for us and He wants us to trust Him. To yield to Him. To love and obey Him. Why won’t we? The God of the universe created us and He knows best. He doesn’t want to leave us how we are. We were born into sin and we have to be reprogrammed into His likeness.

Field1

If I would have fixed my hair that day how I had been training it, I would not have had to go back later and fix it the correct way. That is what happens a lot with God and us. We don’t do things how He desires and He has to attempt to train and teach us again and again and again and again. If we would just do as He desires, then we would be much better off.

Think of the hurdles and pain we would forfeit at times if we would submit first. I know with my life I would bypass a lot of pain and struggles with things if I would allow God to train me. I have learned that God has His ways and He has reasons for what He does. I am only 31,but I have had to learn quiet a few hard lessons in my life. Looking back I know that I would not have went through some of them if I would have yielded to God first.

I encourage you to work with God and not against Him. Let Him train and teach You His ways. It is so much better and so much more profitable. He loves you very much and only wants to see You rest in Him. What is God trying to teach You today? Won’t you yield to Him. Share with me and I will join to pray for you.

Here are some verses to encourage you:

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. -Psalm 25:4

I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. -Psalm 119:15

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. -Psalm 128:1

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. -Psalm 145:17

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9

Lord, we thank You for loving us. We thank You for seeing us as we are,but not leaving us that way. We thank You that You desire us to be holy and pure. We embrace Your ways and Your desires. May we long to please You and to know what You want from our lives daily. Help us as we seek to yield to Your will and Your ways. In Jesus Name,Amen.
