God Knows Where You Are

As I watched my dog, full of anxiety, go away from the door instead of coming in, I realized she didn’t know this was home. We are in the process of moving and poor Bonnie (the yellow lab) didn’t recognize anything around her. She was confused, full of anxiety and probably a little scared.

Being in a new place; whether it’s a new address or a new job or a new relationship can present some of the same scary feelings. The place of uncertainty sometimes is necessary but never the less can create uneasy feelings.

During these times of change, when you and perhaps others around you don’t seem to understand exactly what may be going on or where you are at, rest assured that God does. Think about what God told Joshua…

(Joshua 1:9) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

I’m almost positive that Joshua had some feelings of uncertainty but how comforting it must have been for him to know that wherever he went, God was there as well. God is with you too, whether you find yourself residing at an old address or a new one…God knows how to find you!

Joshua has always been my Old Testament hero. His faith and obedience are such a great example for us. I am thankful that God is always with me.
